🟢Prediction Markets

As introduced in the previous chapters, Punter AI's flagship puntermarket.io is a prediction market that lets investors create 'markets' and buy shares predicting the outcome of these real world events. The concept and execution of this idea is simple, and consists of the following steps. 1. Creating a Market In contrary to our inspiration Polymarket, the 'markets', or 'real world events' users can gamble on, are not created by the team, but by the community in a decentralized way. To create a 'market', simply connect your wallet to the website, and navigate to the 'Markets' section on the website. Once the real world event has seen an outcome, the Punter AI team reviews and settles the bet, paying out the winners. You cannot cancel or settle the market you created yourself, as that could negatively impact the punters (i.e. you could cancel an event when the outcome seems highly likely). If, in any unique situation, you wish to cancel before the outcome of the event, please reach out to the team on [e-mail]. 2. Predicting an Outcome Once you have created a market, or if you simply wish to participate in a market created by someone else, head back over to the Market section of the dApp and select one of the created markets to bet on. Simply select one of the options you think will happen, and buy a specified number of shares in that outcome. The 'odds' or 'probabilities' of an event change as more investors buy shares in a certain outcome. Once the real world event you predicted has seen an outcome, the Punter AI team reviews and settles the bet, paying out the winners. The 'winners' in a market receive the money from the 'losers'.

3. Referral System Puntermarket.io has a unique referral system, in which users can refer other users and get one third of all fees generated by these referred users. This system works in a simple way, where users can simply share their unique referral code with a friend, and once he or she connects his or her wallet for the first time using this code, you will receive a part of all fees generated by this user. A detailed guide of how to refer and claim your rewards is detailed in the next chapter of this Whitepaper (Tutorial). As per the market average, Punter AI charges a 3% fee on every buy of shares. In the near future, these fees are lower for $PAI holders, as specified in the Why Hold $PAI chapter of this whitepaper. Being a community-owned platform, these fees are distributed to $PAI holders through a revenue sharing program.
